What do you mean by sustainability?

Sustainability is the outcome of a holistic perspective informing the choices a corporation makes vis à vis its commitments to 4 stakeholder groups: its employees, the community where it does business, the environment and its supply chain to ensure continued prosperity.

What do you mean by corporate social responsibility?

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) helps define the way a corporation functions. If sustainability can be described as what a corporation does to ensure continued prosperity (not limited to wealth creation), then CSR can be said to be the how. Some refer to CSR as a corporation's DNA; its core business values which take into consideration the social impact of business decisions.  It is widely recognized that decisions affecting any one of the four stakeholder groups can have direct and indirect social consequences. 

At Company2Keep we celebrate the journey a corporation is prepared to take to become socially responsible.  A corporation begins the journey by making commitments toward the realization of its core values.  On C2K you can monitor the progressive realization of a corporation's commitments.

How do you define Consumer?

Consumer is loosely defined term at C2K described as someone who acquires goods and services through a paid or unpaid relationship.

What are the benefits of membership in C2K?

Membership in Company2Keep is open to corporations of any size committed to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.  Benefits include:

• Exposure to an ever expanding network of businesses interested in maintaining the integrity of their supply chain.
• Exposure to an ever expanding network of consumers seeking to align their values with corporations committed to sustainable outcomes and socially responsible behaviors. They are seeking honesty, transparency and meaning in the relationships with the corporations they support.
• Engagement with stakeholders: employees, consumers, representatives throughout your supply chain who provide commentary on your profile and through their word of mouth activity.
• Access to a consumer you may not otherwise reach through more traditional means of advertizing.
• Exposure of your sustainability and CSR performance profile and expanded conversation about it.
• Increased website traffic from C2K and through other C2K members.
• Exposure in ‘Be the Change’ Forums, a regular feature on the company2keep.com landing page to allow members to showcase their best practices, to expand their sphere of influence and engagement efforts.

Is the CSR status of a C2K member verified by a third party?

Third party verification is not required for C2K membership although some corporations pursue this independently.

What opportunities does C2K provide for me to comment?

We love hearing from you! There are several spots on company2keep.com where you can provide your input.   On the landing page, you can submit comments under 'Be the Change' and on individual Blog post entries through the Blog gateway.  On the member's profile page, you can submit comments within the stakeholder performance profile and under general comments.

What are C2K's comment posting guidelines?

To ensure that everyone benefits from what you have to say:

• Please keep your comments relevant to the topic.
• Be civil.
• When you are writing about legal issues, remember that people are innocent until proven guilty (that may mean using words such as "allegedly").

Always avoid:

• Lengthy excerpts from other posts. We want to hear your opinion.
• Racist, sexist and offensive language.
• Personal attacks and defamatory statements.
• Breaking copyright rules (that includes copying and pasting excerpts from other sites without permission and attribution).
• Violating someone's privacy.
• Threats or suggesting committing a criminal act.
• Insensitive comments.
• Posting your message in all CAPS (this makes it difficult to read and in online speak is considered yelling).
• Posting press releases and commercial promotions.

Will a C2K member receive my comments?

Yes. C2K members asked for your feedback and have the option to receive comments  on a daily, wkly or monthly basis.

Is Company2Keep Inc. a PR company?

We like to consider C2K to be a relationship broker - an interlocutor.  In some cultures we would be considered the 'go-between'.  In Japan we might be considered the Nakoudo.

How does C2K manage the use of my email address?

Management of all personal information is compliant with our privacy policy.

Email addresses are required to respond to requests for information and are retained in the Company2Keep data base, triggered only to respond to requests.  This is a fully automated process without human intervention.
